Noob question: Where can I find the dimensions of a selected object?
on Jun 5, 2010 at 9:49:08 pm

I've just started using Maya, and I'm using the channel editor to make precise transformations. I can't remember the exact heights, widths, and depths of all of the separate objects, though. Where does it say the sizes of the selected object?

you can use the Universal Manipulator (Modify->Transformation Tools->Universal Manipulator) to get exact values for transformations.

Doing that gives me where the center of the object is, but how would I find how wide in units the object is?

You could use my bounding box heads-up display:
