just wanted to know which attribute of the outvale(usually "outcolor" for a blinn) of a mia_material_x_passes do i plug into a doublesided node (might be mib twosided, or create a network with a surface shader, sampler-info and a condition node) i will appreciate any suggestions.

regards

MG

mib_twosided.outValueA -> mia_material_x_passes.diffuseA;
mib_twosided.outValue -> mia_material_x_passes.diffuse;

i actually need just the opposite thing, i mean what do i plug from a mia material into a mib_twosided material.

situation: i have an object in which i want to have 2 different mia shaders one in the outerside and 2nd in its inner sides.

ps: my apologies if i was not clear enough earlier.

thanks

Then use

mia_material_x_passes1.result -> mib_twosided.front
mia_material_x_passes2.result -> mib_twosided.back

hi michiel,

thanks a ton! :)
also are you aware of the use of mix8 OR mix20 layer shader with 2011, it works fine with 2008... crashes 2011 when trying to render. (it installed perfect..no problems in working as well..but just crashes 2011 when i hit the render button)

thanks again for the tip
