I'm working on a student project, and I've hit a wall. I've animated a character in Maya 2010 who has a long thick cape, which is constrained to his shoulders. The simulation works, but when the character moves his arms, they poke through the ncloth. I've made it a rigid body, and I think this is some kind of glitch. Are there any parameters I can adjust to stop this from happening? I'm worried because I'm pushing a deadline. I'd be happy to send anyone a zip file with the scene. Thank you very much!
Both the rigid body and the nCloth have collision thickness attributes. You may want to turn on Collision Thickness for the solver display and increase Thickness until the intersections are no longer visible.
