scene file breakup
on Mar 31, 2010 at 7:37:27 am

I have a 4 minutes long story board to be done in Maya2009. I have this doubt, can i animate the entire story in one maya file, and adjust the cameras as per each shot, or divide the story into different files as per each scene.

I am a maya student and I am yet to have any studio experience, so kindly help me here with your experienced views and ideas.

Thanks
soumya

Hello, If possible I would keep it real simple and divide it all into scenes or short chunks. When you get into long timelines with lot's of stuff going on it can be really easy to mess lot's of stuff up, either upline or dowline in your animation.

Stick to the short scenes, and in the end you can bring themm all together in a compositing program Like After Effects. Good Luck! STU

I know alot....but not as much as the other guy.
