pixel size vs aspect ratio
on Mar 16, 2010 at 5:06:26 pm

I am editing with Premier Pro HDV settings... 1080x1440. Animation created in Maya has the same setting... 1080x1440. But, when it is brought into Premier it is stretched horizontally by about 10%. In order to fix this I have to set the width to 90%. So what settings should my Maya animator use to avoid this? Also, the animations were in mp4 format which I had to convert to m2t format.

Just wanted to add... we chose "HD 1080" as the output setting for Maya and that seems to be correct! Choosing 1080x1440 created animations that looked stretched in Premier.
