While experimenting with maya dynamics, I could not figure out how to apply gravity to my object (glass pane) in the right way. Because without it, all the small peaces will flying into "space", after the collusion happens. But If I apply gravity to the object, it will fall a part just before the "bullet" hits it.
How could I achieve an accurate collusion effect. Could someone help me out?
You can keyframe the magnitude so that the gravity doesn't affect the pieces until the ball hits. Just put a key at 0 the frame before the ball touches the glass then put it back to 9.8 (I think it is by 9.8 by default) or whatever the default value is when it hits.
If you want the gravity to be applied to the ball the entire time just use a seperate gravity field for the ball and the glass.
