Windows 7 Mabey?

Windows 7 Mabey?

I’m having some weird issues. I have a fresh install of Maya 2008 on a 64 bit windows 7 OS. I cant get backface culling turned off no matter what I have tried. I have tried all the setting that I can think of in the prefferences and under the shading dropdown. My next issue is also very strange. I cannot see wireframe properly its as if the model is ocluding itself even in wireframe mode. I also cannot select through the model. If i want to selec a row of verts I have to spin the model around to grab them all. Its as if the model occlued my selection. The other issue is my viewport never stops showing the verts. there are hundreds of little dots all over my model no matter what mode i’m in and i have tried turning this off in prefferences but it has done nothing. Any help on any of these issues would really help. I have updated my drivers and this did nothing to help. in fact it my my internet flickery so i rolled back the drivers. I'm currently using driver version

Autodesk say they tested / are testing / plan to test the GeForces with driver 190.38

Hello Erick,

Have you checked compatibility?
Just an FYI for you.

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibility.)
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".

There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!

As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.
