Is there a way to add or remove individual vertices from being influenced by a joint, perhaps by using the UV Texture editor window? I have a jaw bone which is dragging down the upper lip of a character when opened. I cannot easily get to the upper lip to paint the influence from the bone.
The Maya help kind of hints at editing deformer set membership, before sending me in a circle (Maya help: _See Edit Deformers > Edit Membership Tool. takes me to: _See Edit Membership Tool. which takes me to: _You can directly edit deformer set memberships by selecting deformable object points with the Edit Membership Tool. I just need to select a bunch of vertices, and tell Maya not to associate them with that joint. Any suggestions?
