I have a rig-less character that is using Maya Fur, but it is rigged incorrectly. I need to transfer the fur to the same character, but a version that is properly rigged. The characters are the same in geometry and UV's. The main difference is that they're in different poses, one is in bind pose, the other isn't. The fur is using painted attribute maps and follicles. I tried simply referencing in the fur and then attaching it to the geometry that I want, but the results were nothing like the original. Any ideas on how I might do this? Thanks.
