I am modeling a character and I have my maya workspace set up as following: Two panels side by side. The right panel showing the polygon material, and the left panel showing the proxy sub-d material. I project a UV map on the polygon, and edit it using the UV editor. I also do the checker board test to make sure the texture is not being stretched or squeezed. it all looks good on the polygon, but on the proxy sub-D, the checker board texture is all stretched and squashed and curves around in places.. I don't know what to do. Help... pulling my hair out. I pulled out so much hair that I think I can actually count how many are left on my head....3458.
