This isn't really a big deal, but it's driving me up the wall.
Basically when I create any primitive Maya produces a small primitive in the middle of the grid. What I want to be able to do is drag the primitive out to the rough size that I want. I have searched and searched, and I know I'm missing something very basic, but if you could help me out I'd be grateful.
Hello Roger, Take a look at the Create Nurbs primitive dropdown menu and you will see two items at the bottom of the menu which are
Interactive Creation and Exit on completion.
In order for the object to be sized by dragging out from the grid you must make sure that Interactive Creation is selected. Just go to the Create-NURBS Primitives-and activate the Interactive Creation mode by clicking on it an you should see a check mark appear on the left side of the words "Interactive Creation". Once activated you will be able to pull and size directly from the grid! Hope that helps. STU
