After scouring the internet for help and advice I have come up with very little to help me with this problem. I am looking for a maya network renderer, or even a batch render manager, so that I can distibute my processing over my laptop, and two MacPros that I am borrowing. There doesn't seem to be much out there, except for the suggestion that I use apple Qmaster, which isn't working (and could be the subject of another post on another forum) The Maya manual is really useless on this subject, simply suggesting that you render from the terminal on different machines by manually entering frame ranges. I am not totally against doing this, but am sure that there must be a better way.
Can anyone recommend anything? I don't particularly want to spend loads of money, nor do I have a server. All these computers are linked together via a gigabit switch.
Thanks very much in advance for your help and advice
