HELP: Execute Cluster Curve command from MEL?
on Oct 20, 2009 at 6:33:09 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can execute the 'Cluster Curve' command from Mel?

(Surfaces > Edit Curves > Cluster Curve)

Much appreciated.

Thanks
Nick.

Solved it!

It appears as though the script ships with Maya: Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2009\scripts\others\clusterCurve.mel

The actual Mel command is...

ClusterCurve;

You can find these things out as I just did by opening your Script Editor, and in it's menu pulldown History and toggle on "Echo All Comands". Then execute the action you want to learn the Mel for and you'll find the Mel command Maya used in the History window. You'll likely have to scroll up some to the command itself that is usually followed all sorts of sub commands that command triggered. Such is the case with the Curve Cluster thing.
