Render object without lights effecting it!
on Oct 13, 2009 at 9:00:40 am

I have searched the forum but can't find out about my little problem.

I want to render a nurbs object with a projected image texture file but for it to be not effected by lights, so the image texture renders as it would show up in photoshop. Don't know if you can do this maya, but if anyone knows, that would be great!

Hi

use the surface shader, that's exactly for that kind of stuff

A very simple way to do this is to assign a Surface Shader to your object and apply your texture to the Out Color.

You could also use a Lambert shader and assign the texture to the incandescence and set the shaded color to black. Or any number of other ways, but the first is probably the most simple.
