Switching Materials/Image Files Over Time

Hello,

I am animating a cell phone that has a blinn material applied to it and that blinn has an image file mapped to its color channel. The idea is that the cell phone will spin and without us noticing (thanks to motion blur and the speed of the spin) at the end of the spin when the phone comes to rest it will be showing a different material (which is actually the same blinn with a different image mapped to its color channel).
I haven’t been able to find a way to switch the image mapped to the color channel during the spin. Is there a way to keyframe which image is being mapped to the color channel of the blinn?
Any tips on how to achieve this effect within Maya?

Thanks!

(I am using Maya 2009 on a Mac)

Number the images as a sequence, turn on use image sequence, check tht that works first. This will do a new image for each frame, not what you want. To fix when the next image appears break the connection to the expression by RMB'ing over the image number, and set the number manually, then keyframe.
