I am working on a project that portrays the inside of the human lung. I have been trying to create my own 3D texture from a set of tiling .tif files. I want to create the texture so that as the camera pans through the texture, it is visible in 3D space, as if the camera is traveling through water or some other 3D substance.
How do you create your own 3D texture in Maya? Is there a way to make so that it is a volumetric shader instead of a projection?
