Dumb, novice question - trying to understand terminology.
What is a shot in an animation rendering pipeline? What is it composed up of and what defines the end points? I understand that scenes are defined by cuts (true yes?) But what makes up a shot. (example appreciated)
Is there any advantage to working on a shot basis vs a scene basis (or visa versa) for rendering. Maya rendering is on a shot basis, yes?
Thanks for any explanations or references to good online learning materials.
