Endless white room

Endless white room

Hey everyone,

I've been looking all over and haven't been able to find out how to pull off the endless white room look.

I'm trying to pull off the look many people use in short vignettes or walk cycles, etc.

A co-worker suggested making a plane and only allowing matte shadows on it and setting the cameras render environment to white or light gray.

Does anyone know how to pull this look off?

yeah, try that, just a plane for shadows over a white background
or you could make something like a studio setup.

make a plane and raise the edges making some thing like a cup shape
that also works

Hey Alvaro,

I ended up setting the camera environment color to white, and using the the material in the hypershader named "use background" on the plane I am using as the floor.

Then in the attribute editor I unchecked "cast shadows" and got it to look close to the way I wanted.

I found that using a Phong material also works, but that it requires alot more tweaking of the incandesce and other attributes to get the blending just right.
