Noise morph effect in 3d
on Apr 17, 2009 at 5:16:41 pm

I am trying to create an effect where what looks to be some digital noise morphs into a word, lets say "noise". I've tried in 2d with shake and all of my ideas look more like a dissolve than anything. For 3d I was thinking of exploding the word into particles, but I can't think of how to make them look like noise.

Any suggestions on how to create these particular particles would be appreciated, or if you have ideas for another route that would work.

hi
Particles seems like the way to go, you could make the particle points bigger and they will look more like pixels, and use a goal objects to attract them to the letters

there will be lots of tweaking involved, but that works fine

try it!!
