I have done something in the past where i sketched particles on to a surface but i cant for the life of me remember or find out how i did it. Any help much appreciated!

Thanks

hi
If you have maya 2009, nparticles have a new sticky attribute that will make this so damn simple

Unfortunatly its 2008. It is possible to get quite a good look by using the pen tool to apply particles to the surface. I did it a while ago but i cant figure out how i did it. So frustrating!

Thanks anyway

Brilliant, iv solved it. I just needed to make the surface live by going in to Modify > Make live. Just a case of making the blobby particles look like condensation now!

yeah, that works

you can also emit the particles from the can, or bottle, with out any velocity, only in frame one, as a surface emition then control them with fields, don't know if you need them to move
