UV's and importing textures...

Hey guys, I have a question I'm hoping you can help me with...

I am modeling an A-10 Thunderbolt, I have my uv's laid out. I will be adding it's panel bolts as just an image (no bump or anything), so I am guessing it would be wise to keep the uv's the same scale so the bolts won't look larger in some parts and smaller in others. The big question is... would it be better to use 4 x 1024 image textures for the various part of the A-10, or just go with 1 x 4096.

Opinions? Pro's/con's of either?
