Maya particle post compositing
on Feb 22, 2009 at 12:02:56 am

Hi,
I'm new to Maya but not to post.
I have many different Maya particle scenes that will be composited in AE into one shot.
I am rendering the layers all out as Targas with Alphas.
The alpha brings with it more than the rendered particles, namely a black ring from the BackGround it is rendered onto.
I assume this is some rendering setting that I do not have right.
Any advice? or alternate techniques?

Thanks,

In AE, just select 'interpret footage' on the image sequence in the project panel, and check premultiply alpha with black.
