Hi, I am new to maya and I'm trying to create a mechanic tentacle like used on Dr.Octopus but I am going crazy cuz the texture gets all distorted. I created a poly cylinder and extrude along a path. the texture on the original poly cylinder is fine but the extruded part is jacked up! Here is a pic.
I tried using planar, cylindrical, and auto mapping... failure. I've also tried just using a ramp but i get the same result. Can anyone help?
