I'm working on a parachute rig. It all has to obey many of the laws of physics.
I'm taking a Rigid Body object that has some Locators associated with it.
I also have a parachute Model that is converted to an nCloth object. Currently, I'm using the nConstraint, Transform Constraint to tie the parachute nCloth object to the Rigid Body object. That works just fine.
I have created a set of "ropes" using a hair system. I have locators at the top ends of the ropes where the nContstraint Transform constraint binds the vertices of the nCloth to the Rigid Body. The ropes are bound to the locators at the top, and to the ones associated with the Rigid Body object. This gives the ropes two ends to tie between and hold to.
My question is, does anyone know of any way to get the locators, or the actual ends of the hair system to attach and follow a specific vertex on an nCloth system, so that the rope reacts to both the weight of the Rigid Body system and the fabric shape and forces guiding the nCloth system?
