replacing objects but keeping the keys? possible?
on Nov 17, 2008 at 1:39:47 am

hello
I was wondering if there was a way to use the "replace objects" function and still keep the keys of the object being replaced. I have rotation and translation keys on the original object, but every time I try to replace it, the keys go away. I think I've tried all the combinations of options, but maybe I missed something. Thoughts? Work arounds?

Thanks in advance!
Tim

Hi

I think you could just parent the new object under the old and have that follow, is simple, then you can just hide the old object, this can be done also with a parent constraint.
