creating transparent ground
on Aug 20, 2008 at 10:17:02 pm

I have a ground plane the trees and rocks are penetrating.

I want to composite in a floor later, but I need the floor to cut off the trees and rocks where the floor would be so when I add a new floor the trees and rocks sit nicely on the new composited ground with composited shadows.

I could do this by keying out the ground in fcp but I think there's an easier way.

which shader should I use for this?

which settings would I need to change?

thanks a lot!!
Jason
