Help with displacement maps
on Jul 31, 2008 at 4:43:31 pm

This may seem trivial but i can't figure it out.

the image displaced on the surface is only a part of the original displacement image.

for example. I'm busy modeling a coin, i want to use displacment maps to extrude the head image on the one side of the coin. However when i do this only a part of the head is extruded, for example the eye.it's as if the displacement image is way to big for the coin. Is there a way to resize the displacement image?

It was working fine earlier today, but it think i might have changed a setting or something. Can Anyone plaese offer me a solution?

OK, it has to do with my uv sets.

When i place the image, it adds it to the default uv set. I have created a different uv set, but it still uses the default set, even if i only select the surface i want th image on.

how do i change which uv set to use
