Consolidating Project/Moving Systems

Hi, I am doing some research for my colleague who is hard at work designing some environments using MAYA. We have two systems in our company with Maya installed and we want to take some time out of the rendering equation by porting the whole project to the other system and rendering on that while he works on other environments on the original system. Is this possible? Is there a way to consolidate a whole project and bring it over to the other system? I am not that experienced in Maya and I am just doing some research, so don't worry about being overly technical because I am sure my colleague will understand it. Thanks a lot.

hi

Just copy all the files to the new computer open the scene there, see if everything is looking good, thinks like texture locations etc change sometimes, if everything looks good make a test render of some frames and GO!!

if what you need is to COLLECT all the textures used in your project,

there are a few scripts for that at highend3d

http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/search.php?searchtext=c...

enjoy your render
