I've found some previous posts that explain in brief how the problem was accomplished but I can't get a second fold on my plane.
Here's my process:
- Create a polygon plane in the shape of a regular 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.
- Split the polygon along the fold line.
- Create a cluster of the vertices contained in the fold.
- Realign cluster pivot to allow the fold to happen as desired.
Now here is where the problems start. You can achieve the first fold this way but as soon as you try and do the same for the second fold it starts folding over on itself and causing intersections between faces and basically failing. I've tried to use the cut polygons tool and then the cluster method but the edges breakdown really harshly.
I figure a workaround would be grouping planes created in the shape of the necessary folds into an animation chain.
