Hi. Can anyone please point me in the right direction of a Tornado Making Tutorial? I'm finding it very tough getting the particles to follow the motion of the object-emitter. ??
Thanks.

Particles don't follow their emitters; once they have been emitted you will need to use other tools, such as goals and fields, to influence them.

You could try making an invisible cone the goal object for your particles. In order to get them to stick to the surface, add the goalU and goalV attributes. In order to get them to rotate, you will have to affect their goal with a ramp, an expression, etc.

Good luck,

-Steve

The Autodesk website used to have a video example of a tornado that was made using particle and Non-linear deformers. See if you can get your hand on it.
