image plane problem
on Aug 17, 2007 at 10:43:46 pm

Hi, I am currently modeling my first car in maya with help of a digital tutors tutorial. I have got 30 lessons into it but suddenly the image plane for the front view is invisible in both the front view and the perspective view. I've looked in the image plane's attributes and it still has the path to the image, the image hasn't been moved either. The thumbnail in the attribute editor just shows a black screen. I've been searching the net for hours and feel like ripping my hair out now (if i had enough to rip out). Any help is much apreciated.

thanks

Jim

Check the 'depth' attribute of the image plane, and compare it to the 'far clipping plane' values of the cameras. If the image plane is farther away than the clipping plane, you won't see it.

Might also be a graphics card glitch.

I had the same problem. Try turning on Show>Cameras
