polygon tessellation

polygon tessellation

Hi there,

I've created some polygon lightboxes in maya, and due to my workflow have deleted the construction history. How can I increase the tessellation of these boxes? The only tessellation options I can find relate to nurbs being converted to polygons...

Any advice would be great

Tesselation is the process by which curved surfaces (such as NURBS) are broken up and turned into a collection of polygons. That's why you can't find any information about tesselating polygons--it would be like looking for information about how to melt water. :)

Look at the 'smooth' tool for your poly boxes.
