global scale?
on Aug 7, 2007 at 4:51:09 am

Hi, I have a scene which needs to be merged with another 2 scenes done by other people, and i have just noticed that the scale in my scene is super tiny, and when i import the other scenes they are around 30,000 times the size, I cannot group and scale because there are a lot of paint effects trees involved, and they wont scale with everything else..
SO, is there a way to change the "global scale" in Maya?
so that the scale of my entire scene is changed?
hope this makes sense...

You can change the unit scale of your scene (default is 'centimeters') in the Preferences window, but I'm not 100% sure that it will help you in this regard. Give it a try.

Failing that, you can also increase the 'global scale' value for your PFX brushes in parallel with the rest of the scene. Or you could scale the other two scenes DOWN, if they don't have anything problematic in them.

Good luck,
