Active Rigid Body Collision

Active Rigid Body Collision

I normal am not good at asking for help, mainly because i'm a person that likes to help people out instead but here it goes. I have used rigid bodies before in Maya, but I haven't done to many troubleshoots or experiments with them. My question is - Are there anyways to speed up collision tests? Every time two active rigid bodies collide it takes for ever for Maya to calculate, but when an Active hits a passive it takes about 1/10 of a second.
