Kill the Grid in a free floating panel???
on Apr 11, 2007 at 11:29:41 pm

I created a gui to better be able to animate facial control like in the art of rigging vol 1.

I have two cameras in the world, placed, and when I create the new gui I link to panes to each of these cameras.

The problem is they display the GRID; that is annoying.

I tried killing the grid at the window's creation time with this:

modelEditor -e -grid 0 facialCamPanel;

as the code.

MAYA evaluates it but still shows the %$#@ing grid. Is there any line I can inject into my GUI proc that will turn the grids off (Just in the GUI)? Do I need the panel's index or something?

Thanks in advance.

AC
