Fluid examples...
on Mar 22, 2007 at 9:26:05 pm

Hi, I need to learn fluids in 2 days so i can create several types of smoke for a sequence i am working on...
It would seem the best way to do this is by reverse engineering fluid examples... is there any sites out there that have more fluid "presets" than the ones in the visor?
I need wisps of smoke rising that quickly build to engulf an object....
Thanks,
B

if you need to learn it in 2 days, they have an e-download option so you can start viewing right away.

Thanks, after a solid day of fluid-ing I think i have got it enough to do the shots...
Although..... When i playback the scene sometimes the smoke is blotchy and doesnt play smoothly, and when i cache it it still looks like that.... I was working on a fast computer and now i am on a slower one with the same scene..
Is there a way to smooth playback/to ensure it renders looking like smoke, and not like blobs of whit smudginess?

:)
