on Jan 22, 2007 at 11:56:26 pm

Hello All,
I'm a beginner on Maya and I would like to know what's the best way to learn and understand all tools and do some pratical exercises like modeling, animation, texture, lighting, render, etc..Some video tutorials, links, books will be nice!
I'm a Motion Designer using After Effects, and Creative Cow website help me a lot with their tutorials and forums.
Any help will be great!
Thank you
G

In addition to several books on the market, there is the PLE (Personal Learning Edition) that has a tutorial for getting started. There are several DVD tutorial products as well. Digital Tutors, Alias (or Autodesk now) has videos, Gnomon, any and all of those will get you going. The best thing is get the basics and jump right in and try things as you learn them. Good Luck/
