image plane and rotoscoping trouble
on Oct 16, 2006 at 6:33:17 pm

hey,
new to this forum and to maya as well. am trying desperately to add an image plane background of frmaes that I exported from a movie clip. want for the movie clip background to change frame-byframe when i advance frames in maya. WHY? so that i can animate a character for later compositing into live action video.
need help, can get the image in there, but odd things happen. I see several background frames in the window (?)
can't figure out how to get the background behind my character and lock it to the window or lock it to the camera and animate thru the camera's view.
please help??
thank you
-edg

Check the options of your image plane. Image planes can exist independently of cameras, or they can be locked to one camera's field of view. Sounds like you want the latter. Look for the 'Locked to Camera' attribute and make sure it's checked.
