Brain Lock ...or I never really got it??

I am importing an animated scene into a separate scene. The animated sequence starts at frame 1. I need it to start later. I know I've come across this before. I just can't get it. I'm going right to the manual. If someone can throw out a quick answer, please do so. This isn't hard as I recall. Thanks

many ways to do this but the most straightforward I guess, is to use the dopesheet.

open the dopesheet and select all anmtd geom. you'll see yellow boxes that represent all your keys and a master at the top which is all the anmtd channels of all objects, drag a window around these and move forward in time to where you need them.

Other ways, make a clip out of all these and move the clip around in the dopesheet, modify the time node via an equation perhaps, use the graph editor to select and move keys...there's lots more but the dopesheet was made for this specifically and works very well.

Thank you. The Dope Sheet sounds like the perfect and simplest approach.
