Can't render an emitter particle

Can't render an emitter particle

I have just finished animating my emitter partcles but it can't render it.
What is the problem?

Please help.

what type of particle is it? If it's a hardware based particle, your only going to be able to use the hardware render buffer or hardware render module to render it out.

Its a streak particle......thnaks. One more question.!! : How do I change the particle type to photoshop image?

The particle type attribute is in the particleShape node. By the sound of it, you want the 'sprite' image type, to which you can assign an image or a series of images. Note that sprites, like streaks, are a hardware-rendered particle type. You will need to use Maya's Hardware Renderer to render them, and then composite them with any software-rendered elements to achive your final image.
