I've got a weird problem where I imported a piece of geometry created in a CAD package. The geometry came in at a skewed angle from the x,y,z axes. Anyway, I'm able to reposition the pivot point for this geometry and the orientation of the manipulator looks normal when moving the geometry. However, when I access the rotate tool, the manipulator's axes of rotation are skewed (don't match the axes of the move tool).
I've tried rotating the geometry to match the x,y,z axes in Maya and deleting history and centering pivot, but the problem is still there.
Any ideas on how to either rotate the axes of the manipulator pivot or reorient the pivot to the geometry?
