No I'm not offering my services (I'm not good enough) but all the leaders are in the states which means when us brits need help most they are all in bed.

[jim] "all the leaders are in the states"

Hey! I'm a proud Canadian.

Believe me, I grit my teeth whenever I have to type out the names of Maya attributes like '.outColorR'. Maya was born in Canada, dammit!! ;)

Still... that doesn't really help with the day/night issue, does it? Sorry. :(

How true is this? I'm just curious as I've heard several things about this besides that Alias is Canadian and Wavefront is SGI and they merged happily (Well not ever-after).

Funny I googled this for curiosity's sake and AutoDesk has apparently gone to great lengths at this point to hide Maya's origins. Most links relating to timelines etc. have simply been re-directed to a dummy page at AutoDesk.

Cheers,

[Jason Brummett] "How true is this?"

Only partially. Well, except for the bit about me gritting my teeth--that part is absolutely true.
