hi, i have a pretty large piece of landscape geo that was originally made from sattelite maps. but it was way too high poly, so i used a shrinkwrap mel script to make the same shape low poly. so far so good. BUT, before i did that i cut it into sections and detailed them in zbrush to use as displacement maps. so now i need to cut the shrinkwrapped geo into the same sections. but extract faces wont work on the new geo. SO, is there a way to select an edge loop and seperate geometry into two pieces along that line? like "detach surfaces" in nurbs?
