Animating a speaker with a waveform
on Mar 20, 2006 at 2:03:34 pm

Hy everyone. I want to make a speaker whos woofers will move as the sound plays. My problem is how can I translate the waveform of a sound in maya, because I want that the wofer to move exactli with the sound, like a real speaker. Hope you understand what I try to do. I need help.

you might be able to use http://www.trapcode.com SOUND KEYS to accomplish this - albeit
in a rather round.a.bout way.

I don't remember the name but there is a Melscript HE3D that does exactly what your after. You connect a translate X Y or Z into the magnatude of your waveform.
