Sorry to post this here but I'm new to 3D Modeling and trying to grasp some of the basic modeling concepts...I am using Softimage XSI and I'm trying to model a helicopter. My main question is about where to begin, should I use polygons or nurbs? I can easily take a primitive sphere and reshape it into the main body of the copter, but then I'm not sure on how to create the windows...should I use a boolean method? I know I'm being vague but any direction I can be pointed in would be a huge help...if anyone knows of any XSI tutorials on this or anything.
