batch rendering difficulties
on Dec 11, 2005 at 10:36:37 pm

I am trying to batch render a simple animation. However, when I open Fcheck to view the rendered frames, I am unable to find them. I cannot find any .iff files. Does anyone know what might be happening, what I'm doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you do a search for mayaRenderLog.txt on your system, it will tell your where the files rendered to. You will usually find this file inside wehrever your mydocs folder goes.

Thank you for your response, Chad. My problem seems to be that Maya (or my computer) isn't actually rendering the animation. I did set the project correctly and followed the path at the top of the Render Globals window. Hours after I execute the batch render command, Maya still "thinks" it is rendering. When I execute the batch render command, Maya asks, "Do you wish to cancel the current render job?" It is a very simple animation consisting of three NURBS spheres...I don't know what gives...

When I open the mayaRenderLog.txt in Fcheck, it says:
IMF error
mayaRenderLog.txt.1 : <10> broken pipe
