hello !! this is my first post here! .

this is my render now :

but i want to render it like this:
http://www.mindsmack.com/marcelo/maya/1974.jpg

how can i achieve that?
i'm testing my renders ....mental ray , final gather... that's a BMW m3 , but how can i do to down the reflection over the car ?.

cause i've tried to down the reflectivity of the black material but it doesnt work ! :( .

and i try to make the HDRI texture transparent...but no luck.

i have a nurbs plane as floor, then a nurbs sphere as the HDRI image , 2dtexture mapped.
lambert in the floor. i think phong in the car material. but i can't lower it man ! .
helppppp!!!

thanks!
marcelo.

If your turning down the reflectivity of the black material and it's still reflecting, you probably don't have the right material selected, or its nested in some layerd shader configuration. Use a image based lighting sphere and try turning down the alpha gain, that should help. Also try rotating the image based sphere so that the blown out sky isn't directly reflecting on the hood of the car.
