Books on MEL scripting?
by
on Oct 5, 2005 at 11:24:09 am

I have basic knowledge of programming and scripting, but I never met MEL-scripting before.
I need some kind of book or e-book that will take me into MEL-scripting and it's syntaxes.

Any sugestions?

Thank you.
And may Alias survive breathing Autodesk-Air.

Honestly, I think the Maya manuals are pretty darn good. Everything I know about MEL, and most of what I know about programming in general, I learned from them. They explain everything, and are full of examples, style tips, etc. Give them a try.

I agree with Steve, the documentation is very full for Mel scripting, its how I learned the language and I never picked up a book for it. But if you really want a book this is one of the best:
