New Maya 7 features

I've read over the maya 7 features and enhancements and wondered from any users actually using it now - do they actually work as advertised and does this new version seem pretty stable? I'm working on management to get me upgraded (still on 6) and I'm hoping once I convince them I won't dig myself into a hole with a buggy version. :-)

Render Layers take a bit to figure out and though they don't replace MEL, extremely great addition to Maya!

Don't have time for point by point but I will say this is the best Version of Maya in a long time and yes it's stable...

I love it a lot (Jim Carrey)

I have done some modeling in 7 at another location (still have not upgraded my own seat) and from the few hours I have used it I can tell you that I enjoy the Adobe integration and I do like the Universal Manipulator <- that was a real "Duh" expereince for me :)

Seemed pretty solid for modeling.

fCheck 7 is buggy and weird (won't play animations!?) Otherwise, the new poly tools are pretty nice.
