I just got poser 6, and I've exported a model as an .obj file, and maya just won't let me import it. The script editor keeps saying:
pv_performAction "/Users/petermor/Desktop/paulsbout.obj" "OBJ";
file -import -type "OBJ" -gr -rpr "paulsbout" -options "mo=1" -pr "/Users/petermor/Desktop/paulsbout.obj";
// Error: Not enough objects or values. //
// Error: Flag '-stringValue' expects 2 argument(s). //
// Result: /Users/petermor/Desktop/paulsbout.obj //
// Result: 1 //
Not enough objects? What am I doing wrong here? The .obj file imports into ZBrush just fine! Any suggestions or theories?? Thanks!
I'm told that one of the problems is that the associted files for the Poser figure don't come over properly. I don't know if that's exactly the issue you have but have to located and placed the Poser files (.MTL) in the same folder as your character? There is a process for exporting all associated files. I believe it is an option in Poser under the Window menu. I ran into the same issue and it seemed to resolve the issue I had at the time. I haven't yet retried some of my previous attempts (face room map transfers, etc). I have an email from the Poser folks that explains it. let me know if you need it.
